Here are your FMS 5th Grade Gaga Ball Tournament Winners!
Gaga Ball is a game that combines dodging, striking, running, and jumping, with the objective of being the last person standing. Players hit the ball at each other with their hands, and are eliminated if the ball strikes them on or below the knee.

Mrs. Chase’s 4th grade class is wrapping up their Rock and Fossil Unit by studying paleontology! Students learn how a paleontologist excavate fragile artifacts by excavated their dig site (cookie) to discover artifacts (chocolate chips)! They also learned how excavation destroys a site, and why recording the location of artifacts is crucial to preserving knowledge of dig sites.

Almost 2 weeks have gone by and our FMS Library has had very few participants in the genre of the month. Remember that it is historical fiction! Have your student read a book in that genre, fill out a short form and get entered into the drawing. The drawing will be November 17th.
