Students in 6th grade learned about mixing tints and shades. As part of Black History Month, students were asked to use their knowledge to paint portraits of influential Black Americans. These include such icons as Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, Beyoncé, Chadwick Boseman, and Zendaya amongst others. They also learned about the contemporary artist Kehinde Wiley and used his work to influence their backgrounds.

Help us congratulate our FMS Students of the Month for February! The word of the month for February was Kindness.
What is kindness?
"Kindness is an abstract concept that describes a way of doing good deeds through having a friendly, considerate, and generous nature. In its most condensed form, is a way of showing love to the people around you."
