Mrs. Chase’s 4th grade class is wrapping up their Rock and Fossil Unit by studying paleontology! Students learn how a paleontologist excavate fragile artifacts by excavated their dig site (cookie) to discover artifacts (chocolate chips)! They also learned how excavation destroys a site, and why recording the location of artifacts is crucial to preserving knowledge of dig sites. #cardstudentsareworthit #ESED
