FMS Glee Club is back this year! Our 2021-2022 Glee Club is an auditioned Honors Choir this year, making up 50 5th and 6th grade students! We meet once a week after school for an hour. These students have been hard at work all semester working on our Virtual Christmas Concert, which they did a fantastic job on! I am so proud of all of these students and the work they've put in this semester! We can't wait for the Spring Semester and our in-person concert in May! FMS Families- If your child was vaccinated at our Covid Vaccination Clinic, which took place on November 29th, this message is for you! Congrats! Your child is (almost) fully vaccinated! Your child will need to get the 2nd dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on or after December 20th. How the second dose works: -Your child will need both doses to get the vaccine’s full protection. -The first shot got their immune system ready. It helped their body recognize the virus and fight it if they are exposed. -The second shot gives them the vaccine’s full protection. It makes their immune system’s response stronger and better at fighting COVID-19. -Your child will not have full protection from the vaccine for at least 2 weeks. Their body needs time to make enough antibodies to protect them from the virus. Locations administering the COVID-19 vaccines (in no particular order): -Wal-mart Pharmacy -Walgreens Pharmacy -Collier Pharmacy -MANA Family Medicine -Medical Arts Pharmacy -Northwest Arkansas Pediatrics -Sam’s Club Pharmacy -CVS Pharmacy You can check for local locations at Vaccines.gov and schedule appointments from the link on this website.
