4th graders worked collaboratively to create word art to describe something positive about their school environment, friendships, and how they want to feel at school. They had to work together to develop a word, color scheme, and decide which material to use to complete their work.

In the activity, Bubble Trouble, 4th grade students compare two different types of "lava" -- thin and thick. They use this information to figure out why volcanoes have different shapes and how the type of lava explains why some volcanoes explode.
